The Queen is dead, long live the Queen!.......Sorry, but the bad news is that after 30 years, Laraine Boler leaves us this Christmas to enjoy a busy and well-earned retirement. Laraine first joined McMurdo back in 1982 and at the time was told that the position would be a temporary one. Now, some 30 years later, that so called temporary position is finally coming to an end.
Laraine has been a rock for both McMurdo and Daniamant and she will be sorely missed, not only her colleagues here at Daniamant, but also by many Customers around the World.
The good news is that Heather Roberts joined us on 1st November this year. Heather will be known to many of you as Heather had also worked for 8 years at McMurdo. Heather therefore, comes to us with a wide knowledge of our computer systems, procedures and Customers and that experience will be vital in taking over from Laraine. Heather is also benefiting from a two month period during which Laraine has passed over that essential knowledge that can never be written down.
As from the 3rd January, Heather will take over Laraine’s direct dial number of +44 23 9267 5111 and I know Heather is looking forward to working with you all in the future.
